We have good Actors, we have great actors, we have stars and then we have one Superstar who is born just once in a millenium. Today is the birthday one of such superstar who has taken the nation by storm for over a decade with his splendid portrayal and acting in several Bollywood Films. He is not only a legend of Indian Cinema but is also known as the greatest Angry Young man of Hindi Cinema ever produced. Yes Today is the birthday of the greatest superstar India has ever produced, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan as he turns 69 today but still continues to rule the hearts of every viewer across the world.

On October 11,1942, This superstar was born in Allahabad. He is the son of one of the greatest poets of India,Mr.Harivanshrai Bachchan. His struggling days began in Bollywood in 1969 when he got his first hindi film Saat Hindustani where he was one of the seven but not as main lead. This was followed by few other supporting roles in films  like Anand and Reshma Aur Shera which gave him lots of critical acclaim and he also went on to receive his first filmfare award as the best supporting actor in the film Anand. But it was Prakash Mehra's film Zanjeer in 1973 which not only gave him stardom but also gave him the title of angry young man as the film went on to become a major blockbuster after his initial struggle period. This was followed by lot of other blockbusters like Abhimaan, Namak Halal, Mili, Chupke Chupke, Deewa, Don, Sholay,  Agnipath, Coolie and many other such memorable films which nailed his position in Bollywood as the biggest superstar of all times.

Amitabh Bachchan is the only actor in Bollywood who managed to get maximum 36 nominations in Filmfare awards and won overall fourteen filmfare awards. He also won four prestigious National Awards in his career in films like Saat Hindustani(as newcomer), Agneepath, Black, Paa.

The Era and genre of films kept changing but there is one man who still stands strong in this growing competition of new actors and thats none other than our very own Big B as even in 90s he continued with his stardom with hit films like Khuda Gawah after which he took a sabatical from films for few years but then once again made a grand comeback with superhits like Black, Paa, Sarkar and the list still continues ....

Amitabh Bachchan is one rare actor who not only made his mark in films but he is known to be the superstar on small screen too with his popular television show Kaun Banega Crorepati which created new trp records every season.

Today on this birthday when messages from his fans and other stars are pouring all over from various social networking sites,  his only wish is to see world peace and unity among all .His hectic schedule does not give him the time to celebrate his birthday but his millions of fans and well wishers are wishing him all the best in life and career from all across the globe.
