Viewers Lash out and pour out their emotions to the channel over constant Ending news of Geet Hui Sabse Parayi
Since last few months there have been lots of speculations surrounding the popular Star one show Geet Hui Sabse Parayi with reports coming out about its End post Star One's revamp .
So far even though no channel or production house sources have confirmed this news (but rather denied it) but all we can say is there is no smoke without fire and this is not the first time the news about this show's end in October have come out .
Star one post its revamp have decided to go for all new shows and ending all their existing shows among which Geet Hui sabse Parayi is one of them and since Articles about the show's end have started coming out again ,we in TellyTadka thought of voicing our viewer's opinions directly to the channel regarding why their favourite and the most popular show on star one should continue to run even after the channel's revamp post October .
Here is what some of the viewers of the show have to say regarding this sudden news and rumours about show's end..
Sinister Handa poured out her emotions to us and Said " For many of us, Star ONE and 4 Lions is now synonymous with Geet. You guys have given us so many heartaches and headaches over a mere show that needs/needed nothing but some good romantic writing and direction that we shall be prompted to think twice over anything you guys produce/showcase again.Long story short, we are grateful for the show and we hope you guys shall have the business acumen to make more hay while the Gurti sun shines to our advantage! Keep the show on, guys! We are with the show no matter what! Star Desh and Gurti on GHSP... they belong together!We Geet fans look forward to the new revamped Star Desh with Geet- Hui Sabse Parayi!"
Deepika a married woman too echoed similar sentiments and told us "I am so disappointed to see the show ending rumors again...Just when the show is gripping and the story telling is more or less flawless...We are seeing Maan struggling to come in terms with his life and a wife to the boot...Geet the silent supportive wife taking all the frustrations and verbal lashings thrown at her by her love...I am so rooted and hooked to the show. GC-DD are giving their best to portray the pathos and guilt of their characters with aplomb..It would be a shame to lose such an asset , if the show shuts shop .They are capable of giving even a cliched track like Reincarnation an extra kick...I just want GHSP to stay on air ... I cannot imagine my day without it :( "
Another married woman Anuja too poured her heart out and told us "Well regarding the show ending news i'm completely gutted...I cannot imagine how i'll pass my day without watching and discussing the show...With the current track the show has once again generated interest among the viewers. Just shows that with little creativity, the makers can do wonders. Memory loss idea is cliched and has been shown to death in other shows but here it looks different because of the way its executed. Similarly, a reincarnation track although cliche can be treated differently too. The creative team and the actors are capable of making ordinary look extraordinary...Also GHSP has never been an out & out youth show so its much easier to fit it into the revamp which is going to target a different set of audience.
Sajani who is die hard fan of the show told us "GHSP is one show which does have a potential to run for another 6 months and more given a direction,script and plot...they have an ensemble of good cast and all they need is writers who can rack their brains and come up with good story line...how hard is that...ending news has been doing rounds from the time the show started...and we have yet another round of articles and more articles...ending GHSP is not the only option...we hears stories abt a reincarnation track and if that is what it takes to keep the show on air ..then fine we will go for a fresh story and fresh romance with the same leads...for the past month the story ,plot and acting and direction all has become gripping and it has become interesting then why this ending news doing the rounds when the show is becoming gripping again...i hope you come out with a official statement regarding the future of the show post revamp and really wish GHSP is part of your revamp...it has all the flavors from romance to drama to family to twist s and tales which will cater all sections of the audience not just youths ..."
A furious girl Jhan lashes out on the ending news and tells us "I am appalled. Frankly my dear this is beyond pathetic.It is extremely clear that this show has a loyal fan following. It would be foolhardy to lose these fans at this juncture when you are trying to change your image. No matter what you do you should always have a fall back. The channel would do well to keep Geet on the air as long as it can. Their biggest problem is not the quality of the programming, it is the reach of the channel. So they need to fix that before they can start dreaming of high TRPs.There is no guarantee that the kinds of shows they are introducing are going to rake in the TRPs unless the reach factor is fixed. There is no evidence of that being done so far. Geet is a good show that has a loyal audience which has stuck with it through thick and thin. They are willing to even watch a reincarnation track and go through the pain of their favorite couple dying to keep the show alive. The TRPs are also climbing because they have a good plot, awesome actors and superb execution. If I were the channel I would keep this show on the air.The beauty of Geet is that it can be adapted to suit the needs of any segment of the population. They say "Do not put all eggs in the same basket". So star one needs to realize that it needs to have a broader selection of programming for people to watch - something for everybody.. It has a primarily young audience but also is looking to attract families. So keeping Geet on the air would be a good compromise because young and old alike watch it. "
Show's popularity can be judged with the kind of age-group fans it has from teen girls to girls in mid 20s and 30s to even housewives and mothers since we got a furious message from a 55 year old mother Jaya who says "This is a show I really enjoy because they show a girl who is strong and will stand up for her rights. If you have run out of ideas then you could check the India Forums website where you will find lots of Fan Fictions, Short Stories, One Shot etc.. where you could pick up some story line. Infact this is not the 1st time we are coming across this particular news. We feel that whenever you guys run out of ideas you tend to end the serial or come up with vague, dumb ideas of reincarnation track just like you did some time back. The most touching comments comes from a 20yr old girl Ishpreet Kaur who says "Ish Gurti Geet Hui Sabse Parayi for me is not just the portrayal of characters,reciting of a story on screen,it is a whole journey that I m living through the medium of the show. The show came to my life last yr and I consider 2010 as the most cherishable and memorable yr of my entire life of 20 yrs.The show which speaks about the struggle of a girl and the most purest and heavenly love saga of Maan-Geet. The story with which I move ahead happily in my life.This may seem stupid to people but I complete my college assignments and all my work before 9:30 p.m. at night, I never eat during the airing of the show fearing the fact that I will miss an emotion on Maaneet’s face, I never take phone calls during the show so that I don’t miss the precious moments in the show.

Another young girl Shona Malik echoes similar sentiments in anger and tells us emotionally "I am still under the shock of the news of GHSP ending in October, whereas we all were very much positive after a confirmation by the channel that GHSP is here to stay , my views are as follows
1, Revamping a channel doesn't mean that all the existing shows should be axed, either they are doing good. as revamps are experiments which might not give the expected results, so in that case the channel should keep the already running shows as a back up .. 2, A channel should have a balanced mixture of all the elements, a good channel should focus on all type of viewers , so it should have shows like, family shows, youth oriented shows, period plays, reality shows, comedy shows etc, i dont think a channel consisting same type of shows can work well. 3, Why should GHSP should be continued? because millions of people are attached to the show, and this show has given them the most amazing pair of Maan and Geet , people want to see more and more of them, and they have a huge fan base who can do anything to see them on TV, so closing such show is not a smart move also miffing so many fans on the ,launch of a new channel will be no less then a bad omen for the channel, the curses of GHSP fans will never let the new channel flourish...

SO must keep this show even after the revamp. it will actually help it's other shows as well. I am hopeful the channel will take viewers' feedback seriously and not end the show. It will be big loss not just for the audience but more so for the channel and the PH."
This is not all ..There are several such comments still doing the rounds on facebook walls and other social networking sites echoeing similar sentiments after hearing the news of their favourite show's possible ending .We dunno whether to call it maas hysteria or madness or just plain unconditional love for their show but this is the first time we have witnessed such emotional outburst coming out from the fans of all age groups .
We are extremely sorry that we are not able to put each and every comment here in our article as then this article might never end but all we can say is there is real mass hysteria going on every social networking site where fans r not only demanding answers from the production house and channel but are also hoping to see their favourite show Geet Hui sabse parayi and their Maaneet and Gurti on air post channel's revamp too in whichever form they come ..
We hope that this small attempt by us of trying to voice out the opinions of the common viewers could reach to the channel and production house and they give its viewers a proper clarification and hopefully a good news soon ...

ReplyDeleteI echo the sentiments of all these people. I'm completely against this show ending. There's still a lot to show and a lot that the lead actors can offer us. Revamp does not mean ending all the existing shows. GHSP's story is such that it can easily fit in the revamp catering to a different audience. I sincerely hope the channel and the production house alter their decision of ending this show.

ReplyDeletehonestly speaking we are ready for any track as long as the show stays. No one can do without the show. I'm from abroad and that's the only show I watch. There's many like me around the world who are not originally indian and still watch the show, since it's something we've never seen before. We urge you to reconsider any decisions, please. Fans can simply not do without GURTI/MANEET. Sorry for any inconvenience.

ReplyDeleteTelly Tadka we really appreciate ur efforts in helping fans voices reach the Geet PH and Starone....Plzz u ppl have no idea wat this serial GHSP means to us !! Wat Maaneet Gurti mean to us !! Geet is the most addicting drug and we all r its drug addicts....even the thought that we wont be able to see our fav drama or not see our fav Gurti on tv starts giving us drug withdrawl jitters :(( Its our Alchohal ,if we dont drink it everyday we will get a very bad headache :(( I literally changed my baby's nap time schedule in the afternoon so that I can watch Geet on Live Starplayer and help with TRP's and then I watch it again at night according to my USA time ....We fans will do anything to make sure the oxygen of our lives GEET/Gurti stays ....Just ask for it and Inshallah we will do watever we can to help ur team but plzz just dont cancel it :(( Its the only Non Saas Bahu serial worth watching :(( Gurmeet and Drashti are the best actors and they have given us the most amazing couple onscreen in the best drama period!!!! I live in USA and can say with all honesty that even some of my American friends are in love with Geet hui sabse parayi and think that Maan and Geet have the best chemistry they have ever seen. And as far as Indians are concerned at least all my friends watch this show without fail.

Please take advantage of the fact and not shut the show down. Never seen such a chemistry in any other shows. Hope this show will go on for several more years. I don't like saas bahu shows. Some of shows that I watched on starone previously were Saathi Re, Santan, DMG and MJTM, Hum dono alag alag, off and on RBO.But never watched the missed ones like do with Geet. I never even miss one sec of the show. I am silent reader of the facebook comments and IF comments. I have happy that there was channel that catered people who don't watch saas bahu type. But it will disappointing if a show like Geet ends.

The elders in my family have always said that when you take a decision that ends up hurting many people then you never get any good luck with that decision taken. Now my question to you the channel is that, are you all are really risking to get rid of a show with a HUGE fan following for an idea that may or may NOT work? Don't you think it would be pretty unintelligent if you already turn off the old fans from your channel, when you should hold onto them how will you get your audience? You are driving away the fans that are already supporting your channel are already fans of the show on YOUR channel....what will you gain if you lose them? I for one will definitely not hesitate to get rid of the starone the channel if my show is no longer going to stay. To me Starone existed only because of GHSP.....and that show will not stay then no need for me to pay extra to hold your channel, because in years this show was able to grab my attention in such a way, I love this show, and if it goes, starone the channel goes for me, as it will not exist for me if my show goes.
I still do not get how you can all just go and chuck a show that hold millions of fans all over the world!
As for Production house, all i can say you all should be ashamed of yourselves that you want to put an end to the show that gave you recognition, you want to upset the fans that gave you all the praises....and then one by one you took everything that made this show soo DAMN good away!
Finally when the show is doing SOOO well, the script is good....the execution is flawless....the show has to end?

Next, there are things going around all over the place....we need things like our favorite shows to keep our minds off of the stress around the world....have you ever heard of entertainment, or learned anything on psychology? People watch TV so they can get their minds off of other things...no need for u to come here and remind us of what is going in the world...we know damn well what is going on....lecture dene ki koi zaroorat nahin hai....we have our families for that!
I am from Tamil Nadu and I do not speak Hindi but I can understand what is delivered. The truth is, it is very rare for non-hindi speaking people to get hooked to a hindi soap opera and that too at such a prime time when regional hits are also aired. I personally don't like melodramas, but with GHSP there is right balance and the chemistry and romance b/w the leads GC and DD is what keeps the show gripping and has made them favorites amongst many fans in the south. I seriously hope the channel reconsiders their decision and keep the show in any form because for many like me this show has made us live in a fantasy world of Happy Ever After. GC and DD as Maaneet make us feel good at the end of a stressful day. We would not mind if the show is aired even on weekends 'coz withour Maaneet weekends are so boring.

ReplyDeletePlz plz plz don’t end the show. You guys know how much we love the show. Every time whenever the news comes that the show is going to end it feels like our life is going to end. Geet is the most important part of our life. We cannot imagine a single day without Geet. You guys don’t know how much we r in love with this show. In Facebook there are number of fanpages and they are really active and we also celebrate anniversaries of each and every episode of last year. We discuss better things for the show and share our thoughts in this pages also informations of the show recent track photos and every possible thing that may connect us to our favorite show. In weekends when there is no episodes we fans share old memories of the show and pass our boring day without Geet but we still keep in touch with geet in those two days through Fcaebook. This show means a lot to me its like my breathing. We fans try hard and every possible way to increase the TRP and in which we r successful in last month cause we then heard from some source that if the TRP is high then the show must proceed in new channel Star desh but all in a sudden the decisions change and it made us very sad our whole world shattered with this news. The reaction of the fans is natural cause its our life if someone wants take our life away from us then the reaction must be like this .We expect from the channel and the production team that they consider the feelings of fans. The show have large amount of fans in home and abroad. Fans from different countries are dying to see Maan and Geet together. Me as a fan I know how much I feel for the show and for Maan & Geet. We called our self Maaneetians as we are fans of maan and geet. We love the show and love it from the bottom of our heart. A hit show runs atleast 2-3 years but Geet completes only one year and this show have the potential to run successfully in future without a doubt so why don’t the channel and production team didn’t want to continue I don’t understand. Whats the problem to continue the show in new channel I don’t understand. It’s a hit show and viewers want the show to continue. I think for a successful show which contains huge amount of fans and this type of response towards the news this is the enough reason to continue the show in future. It is viewers for whom a show and a channel get popularity. For a show having this much of popularity cant have a ending like this and in one year. Atleast it can continue one more year and I think it can do it with a success no doubt about it. ReplyDeleteIf a woman works full-time, has a husband, many children & in-laws to take care of and is also studying part-time, what do you think such a person would do to de-stress in the few minutes she has in her day?
Definitely not any saas-bahu type serials on TV, since she would have something similar going on in her life anyway. Why would she want to watch the same torture in an even horrible way on TV?
She is past the immaturity age of enjoying a vampires show!
Let me tell you - after all her daily chores, just before going to bed, she would want to read a romantic novel, before cuddling up with her husband. Pride & Prejudice is an example or even though past the age of Mills & Boon, she may want to read that again. You get the hint, don't you:-)
Well, guess what, Maaneet has excelled all traits of a relaxing romantic novel. GHSP has given us such women the most effective de-stresser in life!!!
Watching Gurti portraying Maaneet in GHSP has been an inspiration to work harder. We wonder how talented these 2 actors are, what a dedication to their work. We all want to work as hard as them in order to see the same results in our lives, no matter what job we are in!!! Maaneet has given us busy people, something to look forward to at the end of our stressful days.
Whenever we think of Maaneet, it brings a smile on our face. It makes you blush that, you no more realize how much you are juggling. Remembering their nok-jhoks, chemistry, romance, passion, dreams, name it all - has us looking forward to each night's episode.
Weekends are a torture without Maaneet!!!
We have tossed all our romantic novels and replaced them with a daily dose or sometimes if time permits as many doses as possible of Maaneet!!!
Our ipods/phones or any other similar musical instruments only has songs that have been played on Maaneet, so we can replay in our minds the respective Maaneet sequence. Even when we listen to any other song we only visualize Maaneet to be part of it and have forgotten the original actors!!!
I have seen people watching Maaneet on their notebooks on the gym machines. It motivates them to burn more calories by seeing how fit Maaneet are.
People watch Maaneet on their notebooks/laptops as they wait for their kids doctor appointments or theirs for that matter.
I for one and I know many more who have purchased cable packages, just to be able to watch GHSP. It should be obvious that, I will cancel my subscription if GHSP ends.
I don't see any reason to turn the TV on if GHSP ends.
Just to let you all know, the alphabets are not even enough to describe how much we like GHSP/MAANEET and cannot imagine life without them, so don't make the mistake of ending it:

ReplyDeletePlz plz plz don’t end the show. You guys know how much we love the show. Every time whenever the news comes that the show is going to end it feels like our life is going to end. Geet is the most important part of our life. We cannot imagine a single day without Geet. You guys don’t know how much we r in love with this show. In Facebook there are number of fanpages and they are really active and we also celebrate anniversaries of each and every episode of last year. We discuss better things for the show and share our thoughts in this pages also informations of the show recent track photos and every possible thing that may connect us to our favorite show. In weekends when there is no episodes we fans share old memories of the show and pass our boring day without Geet but we still keep in touch with geet in those two days through Fcaebook. This show means a lot to me its like my breathing. We fans try hard and every possible way to increase the TRP and in which we r successful in last month cause we then heard from some source that if the TRP is high then the show must proceed in new channel Star desh but all in a sudden the decisions change and it made us very sad our whole world shattered with this news. The reaction of the fans is natural cause its our life if someone wants take our life away from us then the reaction must be like this .We expect from the channel and the production team that they consider the feelings of fans. The show have large amount of fans in home and abroad. Fans from different countries are dying to see Maan and Geet together. Me as a fan I know how much I feel for the show and for Maan & Geet. We called our self Maaneetians as we are fans of maan and geet. We love the show and love it from the bottom of our heart. A hit show runs atleast 2-3 years but Geet completes only one year and this show have the potential to run successfully in future without a doubt so why don’t the channel and production team didn’t want to continue I don’t understand. Whats the problem to continue the show in new channel I don’t understand. It’s a hit show and viewers want the show to continue. I think for a successful show which contains huge amount of fans and this type of response towards the news this is the enough reason to continue the show in future. It is viewers for whom a show and a channel get popularity. For a show having this much of popularity cant have a ending like this and in one year. Atleast it can continue one more year and I think it can do it with a success no doubt about it. On the behalf of whole worlds GEET fan I request Starone and Geets production house please continue the show we want the show. This is our request please kindly consider it and have a huge amount of viewars stay with the show and with your channel from home and abroad. Please consider viewers emotions and feelings towards the show. Its our life we gave it in your hand now its your decision whether you want to give us our lives back or want to take it away from us and then all maaneetinas will die and never come back to you and you channel. The decision is yours.

You can't play with the emotions of so many people who are attached to the show. By ending this show, you will kill all of us. Don't do this please. We cannot even imagine a day without this show and that too ending so soon. All the sagas go on for 5-6 years then why not this???????? Atleast for next 2-3 years. Firstly I want to thank TT for making this effort... Secondly , ever since I read the news about GHSP going off air I felt like someone close to me just died .... I cudnt believe it and a state of complete shock set in ...not ready to accept the fact. I want to plead with the channel that please do not do such a thing as it would be horrendous for the viewers as well as the channel ..since most of the people know your channel because of Geet Hui Sabse Parayi ....do you seriously want to lose all your viewers???? no matter what new show or concept you bring about , you cannot replace GHSP ...you cannot just let so many of the fans down...GHSP is one show that doesnt bore you to death with the saas-bahu crap...tell me something who wants to see what they actually go through in their day to day life ...the romance the chemistry of Maan and Geet bring so much colour in the lives of the their fans ...

ReplyDeleteWell, I am a senior publishing house editor in Delhi dealing with serious fiction, non-fiction and writing commentative articles. I would be the most unlikely candidate to fall for a Hindi serial. I myself am a follower of all ABC series. Geet is my only exception. Why? There is no rationale. Does it satisfy what I call the "pride and prejudice" syndrome in every woman (we are forever in search of elizabeth and mr darcy), does it seem the perfect love story, does it make me go awww every time, does it stir similar emotions when the couple traverses the trajectory of their relationship, do the lead couple give me a sense of wish fulfilment (their chemistry spills over), does it keep me a girl despite my advancing years,does it make me less inhibited about mainstream passion.... all and more are true. But it's my daily fix, I can sleep happy only after watching it. I am crazy enough to work my schedule around it. I have even tried Bade achche lagte hai as my second serial and I don't mind missing its episodes, the fizz has gone for me. But not so with Geet. Even while in the US vacationing recently, I watched each missed episode on youtube. It's confusing but Geet is my only happy hour moment in a stressful day. But I don't have a TAM meter, I may not be TRP material but I am a loyal viewer. Trust the production house and channel to value us too. So much so that I have reasearched earlier work of Geet makers and the channel and found that this has done in a short time what many dramas haven't managed in a long time. If you value people like us, then do not end geet. You may say you have run out of a good storyline. Let me remind you that you started with a very good one in the first place. Get that desperation back to think out of the box. If you value me, a working woman who still loves the girl in geet.

It means a lot to a lot many of us; something that the makers would never know and also not possible for us to explain briefly. Because it took us, all the geet fans more than a year to write everyday after each episode what we all liked about the episodes and why? So please........

GHSP has become a pert of our lfe , we just cant leave without it . our day start with GHSP & GURTI and ends with it . we know thefrom last few mnts the TRP's were nt up to the mark but wuth the ammezing current track it has already started to increase . from the time we started getting the news that GHSP may end in sep we have done whatever we could to increase the TRP so that our show stays and continues in Star desh as well . Finally we r little happy with the TRP then why the channel wants to end the show . there r many daily soaps which r available on other channels but no other actors and the show had such impact on th the viewers as this . see the number of fans who r 24/7 available on GEET pg run by 4Lions and discussing GHSP AND GURTI leaving all their work and all the members r nt kids there who has no work . GURTI with their ammezing performance has made us love them unconditionally . they have made us believe in love . Dont take that away from us . GHSP viewers r totally royal and stood by show through out and will always be there for it . we humbly requesting pease do not end GHSP and take away GURTI from us . we will accept any track u give us which has GURTI in it without cribbing but DO NOT END GEET . Day by day, my love for GEET increased! And then i became crazy for Drashti Dhami & Gurmeet choudhry! I joined d fanpages on fb, joined IF! And got exciting & interesting news abt the show which increased my interest!

And i became so crazy abt it, that when starone was closed in pak, i watched geet on youtube daily! Thus, 2010 was the best year of my life cos i got a big big gift, in the form of GEET, which is the biggest source of entertainment for me, which made me love GURTI, and today i m proud to b a GURTIAN :) Through the geet fan page, I got so many loving friends! I got a family actually, and i feel lucky to b a part of GEET family ! Today, em such a freak! That i watch each n every episodes repeat almost thrice ! :P I want GEET to continue forever! Its a very imp. part of my life without which i couldn't even imagine my life! So, please dont end GEET as i only watch GEET ! How can star one end their best top show?? GHSP has been number 1 on IF since one whole year, GC and DD havnt fallen from their positions since last year, GURTI have been proven to be the hottest jodi on tv, they won best jodi from gold awards and nominated for best actors, You can tell how huge the fan following is and how loyal we are to this show..without this show, your channel wudnt have gained the popularity it did from worldwide..GHSP made ur channel do wonders, it gave u the fame..and you just decide to end this awesome show? Revamp doesnt mean you end all existing shows? What guarantee do they have that their new shows will be hit? NO GUARANTEE..and there are other channels like star plus, zee, colours which are wayyy higher so i wonder once this channel changes to star desh if ppl wud even know what star desh is..

Ending a show like geet is like hitting ones own feet with a hammer..
Instead keep GHSP with the revamp there is still so much potential in the show left, a lot to show from maan's past etc..a reincarnation track isnt even needed when the current track itself has an awesome buildup and a great storyline which can cont for a while, how can you end it?? GHSP shud stay so in case ur new shows FLOP you have some back up..

I started watching GHSP sometime in Aug last year when the whole office track was going on and got hooked to the show coz of the awesome storyline, production values, and of course, the mind boggling Gurti chemistry . Geet was and continues to be a simple sweet love story between a at times naive, at times worldly simple young girl and a headstrong , cynical, brusque young man with a heart of gold who learns to love the simple pleasures in life as he falls for this young girl..it is their story of beating the odds and coming together time and again....yes, there is a villain (ess) but the underlying theme of this show is hope and a never say die attitude. The show has never been unrealistic, over the top or melodramatic...what i also liked abt it was its freshness- how they took the most mundane of things and made them magical....who can forget the fighting for the bed in the outhouse, Khoon badi maang, maan astride a horse to fetch geet to the mandap, the apple game post wedding, the letter maan writes to geet in amritsar and countless other pearls like these that kept fans like me glued to this show day after day. This, plus the great team effort put in by the entire cast and crew who entertained us day after day by giving us their best...!!
ReplyDeleteThe personas of Drashti and Gurmeet is another reason why i continue with my loyalty towards GHSP. She is definitely one of the most sorted and down to earth people i have seen. Everytime she speaks, she does so honestly and forthrightly-no beating around the bush. And she talks sense...!! Never have i seen her speak ill of anyone or flaunt her self, her achievements or her success...she has always been thankful and appreciative of her fans and its not just lip service-she truly means it! GC too has been very down to earth and humble despite the cult status he's gained thru GHSP. When they won the best jodi award recently and he was up on stage collecting his trophy, he bent his head down reverently whilst taking the trophy from the presenter. I remember thinking then this guy is so humble...there is no swagger, no chest thumping and no taking for granted attitude of I-am the -best. Which is why i know, he will go from strength to strength. Infact, the reason why i think the Gurti chemistry is this awesome is coz first and foremost both of them are very nice individuals and secondly, they have no ego hassles. Plus GC is a thorough gentleman. In a pair, the way a guy treats a girl and handles her-both emotionally and physically is very important...as women, we feel very awkward when our personal space is invaded. It speaks volumes abt both DD and GC that they work so intimately and in such close physical proximity but there is never a moment of discomfort ..which is why, we the audience never feels awkward watching them romance on screen-this is what translates into their fabulous chemistry.
THANK YOU, GHSP. Thank you for a wonderful journey and I hope u remain with me for a long time to come. But i would like to say this-whatever be the outcome, you will always remain special to me and I wish each one of you, all the very best in life.

the channel and the production house must be knowing that the fans of the show are from worldwide. the viewership is not only restricted till India. 2lac+ fans rside in U.K, U.S, Middle east, Sri lanka, Malaysia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, India and many other countries. such craziness and spectacular support is just for only and only GEET. the fanpower has been proved everynow and then. It can be seen in making the actors win the fav jodi award or planning to increase trp, giving feedback or voting on every forum to make the show, maan and geet win. no stone is left unturned even to promote the show in various ways. Why are v all doing it inspite of our own hectic schedule? cos v luv d show like mad, our life and emotions are attached to it.
finally i would say,GC a.k.a Maan and DD a.k.a geet are fantabulous actors. they have brought life to the character and the show. They have made it so real that now maan and geet have become a part of our life. They bring smile and magic with their acting. I dont remember last when did I miss the episode. Inspite of working till late, When I return I check out the episode before ending my day.
Thank u for the wonderful show u gave us but pls let it remain with us. V r still not satiated with it. Pls revise your decesion and let the association of geet and Starone/ star desh/ star plus continue. It shudnt end. The prayers of fans from 15 to 55 or beyond be heard. Let us enjoy the show for some more years and live the characters of maan and geet. Let us cherish the super duper performance of GC and DD.Though its long, but pouring my heart out.

ReplyDeleteGHSP is a one show that I watch daily. It is very theraputic especially after a long day at work. This is the one show that transforms me into Maneet Land for 1/2 an hour. I forget all my problems and pains and enjoy my maneetian time. It has become part of my life and I cannot imagine my life without it. Both Gurmeet and Drashti are such a good actors that I love watching them. For half an hour daily, I love being part of their life. I hope Geet does not end and whoever is responsible to keep this on air are doing their best. This show has so many fans, please listen to us.

Il stop screaming at give sum real facts here:
-Geet is the toppest show on star one (its getting there)
- it has a high number of fans (just cuz trp isnt high doesnt mean it has less fans. all the fans are connected with internet these days.)
-Geet is very popular in other countries too (out of india) .. for example.. in east asia, geet was on top 8 for popularity chart!!! tht means the trp's are BIASED!
so plzzzzzzzzz, take these comments into consideration, Star One, 4LIONS, Geet Team.. producer..ect, and Star Desh.
**just a quick tip to Star one/desh*** if u guys want popular shows then cancellling geet or pkyek wnt help. geet and pkyek have good trp's., tho trps are nothing, geet is watched online mostly, and is very popular.
IMO, trp's, shudnt even be counted in rating the show!
Drashti and Gurmeet are wonderful actors mashallah. Drashti is amazing as a solo.. so before anyone else captures drashti's wonderful nature... and gurti's chem....

We love the show soooo much that we have 100 or i say 1000 of active Facebook fanpages where we share all the things related with the show, even in weekends there were no episods we pass our day sharing Maan & Geets old scens from the show. It is a show which have a huge number of fan following in home and abroad. People are dying to watch maaneet more and more. Its a hit show and it is running successfully from one yaar containing no 1 position and having a large amount of fan following. A hit show runs 2-3 years. Geet completed one yaar and the story may go further if the creative team want it. So without a doubt it can run successfully one more yaar. Maan & Geet both of them a couple which have the karisma to hold the viewars attraction. They are extraordinarilly superb and minblowing actors. There chemistry is superb thats why they got jodi award this yaar. We love the show & want it to continue in StarDes. The show is like our hear beat beat dont stop it we will die. If u end the show u will lose a huge amount of viewars from home and abroad. Plzz StarOne and Geet team plz consider the fact and dont end the show. It can be seen in making the actors win the fav jodi award or planning to increase trp, giving feedback or voting on every forum to make the show, maan and geet win. no stone is left unturned even to promote the show in various ways. Why are v all doing it inspite of our own hectic schedule? cos v luv d show like mad, our life and emotions are attached to it.
finally i would say,GC a.k.a Maan and DD a.k.a geet are fantabulous actors. they have brought life to the character and the show. They have made it so real that now maan and geet have become a part of our life. They bring smile and magic with their acting. I dont remember last when did I miss the episode. Inspite of working till late, When I return I check out the episode before ending my day.
Thank u for the wonderful show u gave us but pls let it remain with us. V r still not satiated with it. Pls revise your decesion and let the association of geet and Starone/ star desh/ star plus continue. It shudnt end. The prayers of fans from 15 to 55 or beyond be heard. Please don't end GHSP show. I have been watching the show from episode 1. I see that Drashti has improved a lot and has become one of best actress.I did see a lot of change in her acting skill as soon as Gurmeet entered. I think both of them compliment each other and work together so well that keep the show alive. God bless them too and whole team who are putting show a wonderful show. Please show more happiness in Geet life in future. Make her as Strong Women and show her as example to many girls who have struggled thru their lives.

I m a die hard fan of geet hui sabse parayi from pakistan i have watched all da episode since da first one their is no comparaison of gurmeet and drashti as far as acting , expressions or their chemistry is concerned plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz dont end geet v dont know how to live without it plzzzzzzzzzz keep it going. i love gurti (gurmeet drashti )off screen as well and have never missed a single interview sbb and sbs
