Raksha Bandhan - Knot of Love

Raksha bandhan speaks of the undying love between a brother and a sister. Raksha bandhan is a promise to protect and cherish forever the sacred bond that symbolizes this relationship. It is a festival that celebrates a brother sister relationship.

Such special bond is shared between Anjali and Arnav of Iss Pyar Ko Main Kya Naam Do. No matter how grumpy or cold Arnav is to the world, he is a big kid to his loving sister. His sister is his world, his one true family and he can do anything and everything for her. And for Anjali, the only person with whom she can be her true self to, the only person who was there when their world crashed as children. The bond they share is stronger than anything and the love they have for each other is pure.

Sasural Genda Phool is another show where we get to see the special bond between Indar, Ishaan, Ilesh, Deepak, Ishika and Panna. They are always pulling each other’s leg, always trying to play prank on one another but in time of crisis they are always there for each other as a strong pillar. They encourage each other and cheer each other when things are not right. Not only they but Radha and Alok are really close to each other as well despite the fact they are not blood related. Alok has always supported Radha in her dark times and stood by her like a rock. This show has made many of us envy about the bond these siblings share with each other.

And that is what Raksha Bandhan is all about... the love and affection shared between a brother and a sister, the bond of love that they have shared since their childhood. It is a day that brings brothers and sisters closer to each other, a day to remember their fun childhood days and love they have for one another.
