EXCLUSIVE!!! "I'm an open book... written with an invisible ink" Raghuvir Shekhawat answers TT's Tadkedaar Twenties!


TellyTadka is back with "TT's Tadkedaar Twenties" and this time it’s someone who does not need any introduction. “Actions speak more than words” is the perfect phrase to describe this immensely talented Man because his work easily gives away his identity.

He is associated with some of the finest works on Indian Television and currently writes for Diya aur Baati Hum, Balika Vadhu, Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, Ek Veer Ki Ardaas Veera and RangRasiya. Yes we are talking about none other than the uncrowned king of dialogue writing - Raghuvir Shekhawat!!!!

Telly Tadka: Your Nickname
Raghuvir Shekhawat: Have two...One is- Rugz! The other one resembles more of a dog, so am not mentioning that!  ;-)

Telly Tadka: Describe yourself in 3 Words
Raghuvir Shekhawat: That's difficult. I'm the third volume of myself, how can I describe myself in 3 words?! The closest I can think of are Loving, Passionate and Emotional.

Telly Tadka: Favorite Food
Raghuvir Shekhawat: I love to chew the brains of the audiences, of my shows! Apart from that, chicken (when it’s not moving)!

Telly Tadka: Favorite type of Music
Raghuvir Shekhawat: The one which is made by the coins falling in to my piggy bank, second best is old Bollywood songs and the band called Euphoria!

Telly Tadka: A song you are humming these days.
Raghuvir Shekhawat: There are three actually “Aaye tum yaad mujhe", "Tujhko pukaare mera pyaar" and "Bhula dena... (And "Rulaake gaya sapna tera", "Aa bhee jaa, hai udaas jaise mera dil". OK that's 5! My slam book, my wish ;-))

Telly Tadka: Favorite Holiday Destination.
Raghuvir Shekhawat: Mostly all hill stations; and my bed... I love it!

Telly Tadka: Favorite type of Cloth.
Raghuvir Shekhawat: Denims and t-shirts.

Telly Tadka: Favorite Brands (Clothing).
Raghuvir Shekhawat: Nothing can beat the Dandiya dress specially designed by Armani!

Telly Tadka: The Color that defines you.
Raghuvir Shekhawat: White. Try to be pure in life.

Raghuvir Shekhawat: DDLJ, Shaheed (old) Independence day, Evan Almighty

Raghuvir Shekhawat: My nose which is broken. Lolz!!! ;-) Jokes apart, I am very passionate, the Tadka of passion is seen in everything I do; I can’t take any moment of life lightly.

Telly Tadka: Your best buy till date.
Raghuvir Shekhawat: Nothing with the "buy me" tag excites me much. (I love this line! any buyers?!?!?)

Telly Tadka: Your Treasures (Most Cherished Person/Thing)

Raghuvir Shekhawat: When Deepika Padukone said, she finds me really cute! Zzyaada ho gaya na?  Jokes aside, a long ago, my principal said to me that I will be remembered in this school the way Lord RAMA is remembered in this country. Can’t ever forget that!

Raghuvir Shekhawat: A Malfunctioning Toy

Telly Tadka: A one liner U always use
Raghuvir Shekhawat: Don’t worry. BHAGWAN pe bharosa rakho, wo zaroor kuch bura karenge (taaki hum unhe yaad karein).

Telly Tadka: A moment in life you want to relive again.
Raghuvir Shekhawat: Every moment. Because then I would be able to repair the bad ones and prepare for the good ones….(Aadaab…zabardasti ki shaayri ho gai).


Telly Tadka: Given a chance what would you change about yourself?
Raghuvir Shekhawat: Nothing. Not that I consider myself perfect, but I love myself; with all my stupidity, shararatein, pain, anger, jealousy and all the bhandaars of emotions I have!

Telly Tadka: Describe your feeling when you won the Best Dialogue Writer Fiction at the two prestigious Television Awards?
Raghuvir Shekhawat: To be careful not to fall on the stairs leading to the dais (Public dekh rahin hai J) Well you always feel good when your work gets appreciated. Though I wasn't sure about winning them I was very happy when I won.

Telly Tadka: Message for all your fans all over the Globe.
Raghuvir Shekhawat: Keep loving my shows and when cant love…. Tolerate, but just don’t switch off the TV because I will bounce back and make u fall in love again and again.

Telly Tadka: 5 Years from now you are
Raghuvir Shekhawat:  Younger! Then again, I don’t plan things. I let life surprise me/scare me/delight me/pain me.
