Ankita Sharma bags a meaty role in Colors new show "Rang Rasiya".

 

Ankita Sharma who was last seen as Nimrit in Life OK's Amrit Manthan produced by Rajan Shahi has bagged yet another interesting and well in this case meaty role. The actress has been finalized to play the antagonist in Colors new show Rang Rasiya produced by Nautanki Films of Madhubala:EIEJ fame.

The actress will play Laila, one of the antagonist in the show. Laila is a nomadic dancer who also does spy work for the male lead Rudra (Ashish Sharma), who is a BSF officer. According to sources Rudra hates women and Laila is the only woman he is close to. Laila has been Rudra's friend and confidant for almost eight years and deeply loves him.

We know that Rang Rasiya is the lovestory of Paro (Sanaya Irani) and Rudra. It would be interesting to see how the dynamics works out with Paro-Rudra and Laila.                                                                                                                                                                  

According to sources Ankita has been briefed about her character and will start shooting for the show.

Comedy King Kapil Sharma honoured with Indian of the Year Award.

Comedy King Kapil Sharma was honored with "Indian Of the Year" award for his contribution to the entertainment industry.

In an awards ceremony held on Friday, CNN-IBN honored 11 extraordinary Indians across Politics, Sports, Entertainment, Business and Public Service categories. 

The producer and host of Colors Number One Show "Comedy Nights With Kapil" said  "It's the year of the common man and I am also one of them. To be awarded amidst such eminent personalities and dignitaries it's a great achievement in itself. "

Kapil was awarded for creating a successful stand-up comedy show that has universal appeal.

Is Mansi Salve quitting Star Plus Pyar Ka Dard Hai?

Avantika Diwan is the perfect example of a woman of substance, infact it wouldn't be wrong to say that she is the only character on Television who can be tagged as the modern contemporary Indian woman. While the character has been written amazingly well, there is no denying the fact that Mansi Salve's incredible acting is what makes Avantika stand apart from the rest. 

But looks like this year would be the last we see Mansi essay Avantika. This news may come as a shocker to all Avantika/Mansi fans out there but if sources are to be believed then the actress has decided to quit the show and her last scene will be on the 31st December 2013.

We tried contacting Mansi Salve, to confirm the news but she remained unavailable. One would have to wait to find out if Avantika Diwan will be played by another actress in the future or if the character will also bid good-bye with the actor. 

Looks like only time will tell what's in store for the viewers. Stay tuned and keep an eye out for this space as we bring you more updates on this front.

Ayaz Ahmed and Nikita Sharma in UTV Bindass Yeh Hai Aashiqui???

They created magic on screen with their portrayal of the fiery fiesty couple who viewers lovingly called Rantara and if sources are to be believed the duo will be seen burning the screens again.

Yes we are talking about Ayaz Ahmed and Nikita Sharma the hot jodi from Like OK's Do Dil Ek Jaan produced by Nautanki Films, who if sources are to be believed is all set to do an episodic of UTV Bindass popular show Yeh Hai Aashiqui that brings to its viewers amazing and inspiring love stories.

Yeh Hai Aashiqui is co produced by Lost Boy Productions and BBC Worldwide Productions and airs every Sunday at 7:00 PM (IST). According to the latest buzz Ayaz and Nikita will be seen in an episodic which is loosely bound on the classic tragic lovestory "Romeo and Juliet"

We tried to contact Nikita Sharma for confirmation but couldn't reach her, but stay tuned and keep an eye for this space as we bring you more updates on this front.

BIGG BOSS SATH 7: Test of Virtue for the Bigg Boss Finalists!

Only 6 days remain for the Bigg Boss Grand Finale and the tension and apprehension amongst the Top 5 contestants - Gauahar, Ajaz, Sangram, Andy and Tanishaa has intensified manifold. To add on to their excitement and worries, Bigg Boss decides to test their integrity by sending a mysterious briefcase inside the house. 

In the evening, the housemates are asked to gather in the living area where a briefcase tied up with a chain is placed on a table. Without revealing details about the contents of the briefcase, Bigg Boss asks the 5 contestants to mutually decide on one contestant who deserves to own the briefcase. Unsure of what to expect, the housemates spend the first 5 minutes staring at the briefcase…and then the guessing game begins.

While some say that it contains money, the rest speculate that the briefcase might contain an elimination ticket. While the guessing game continues to take place, Ajaz voluntarily opts to take the briefcase thinking that there might be money inside it. However, the other housemates disagree with Ajaz and continue with their discussion. At some point or another, every contestant volunteers to take up the briefcase and face the consequences. But, they are always held back by the other housemates.

What’s the real mystery behind the suitcase? Which contestant will finally own it?

Yeh Hai Mohabbatein: Raman wins best CEO award, Ruhi to go missing.

Star Plus drama Yeh Hai Mohabbatein produced by Balaji Telefilms is all set to churn out another interesting drama this coming week.

Viewers last saw how both Raman (Karan Patel) and Ashok attend the Business Award and are competing for the same award. While Ashok is confident that the Victory will be his, thanks to his friend being a part of the Judging Panel; the twist in tale will see Raman being awarded the Best CEO award leaving Shagun (Anita Hassanandani) and Ashok shocked.

Dimple who accompanied Ruhi and Raman to the event will be surprised to know from Simmi that Ruhi's mother is present at the function. Ruhi overhears the conversation and runs to find her mother  but gets locked in one of the rooms alone in the process. Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi) who is present at the same event with her fiance Prateik gets worried after not seeing Ruhi around and will realize that she is missing from the gathering.

Maharana Pratap bags yet another prestigious award!!!

 

After winning maximum awards at the Indian Telly Awards this year,  Sony Entertainment Television's historical saga Bharat Ka Veer Putra... Maharana Pratap has added another feather to its cap.

It's a 75 Lakh Rs. worth Lehenga for Sony Entertainment Television's Desh Ki Beti Nandini

Yes you heard it right!!!

The Big Fat Indian Weddings still continue to be the high point of television shows. The viewers also expect to see the visual extravaganza in the form of expensive sets, beautiful costumes, song-and-dance sequences for the various pre-wedding rituals and finally the grandeur of The Wedding.

Sony Entertainment Televisions Desh Ki Beti Nandini which has a Political Backdrop and tells the story of Nandini (Keerti Nagpure) and Rajveer (Rafi Malik) however has taken the whole Indian Television Wedding a step further with the upcoming Big Fat Wedding Sequence.

If sources are to be believed the lehenga to be donned by Keerti Nagpure who essays the role of Nandini in the show costs a whooping 75 Lakh Rs, weighs approximately 15 kg and  is said to be one of the most expensive ever worn in a TV show.

Designed by Riyaz and Reshma Gangji and their team Libas; the wine red colour wedding Lehenga has been hand cut to enhance the intricate work and bring out the whole Ancient Royal Style appeal. If sources are to be believed it took the artisans almost three months to craft the intricately designed Lehenga which has white fresh water pearls and zardosi work.

Bigg Boss Saath 7: Parineeti Chopra and Siddharth Malhotra joins Weekend ka Wow (Day 98)

 

The countdown to the Grand Finale begins as there are only 6 contestants left after Armaan’s exit from the Bigg Boss house. Bringing along the Weekend Ka WOW for one last time, Salman Khan enters with a bang dancing to Dhinka Chika.  He further enters the house through ME TV to play a rapid fire round along with the housemates.  Salman makes sure that he grills all the housemates and gets them to answer all the hard-hitting questions. 
 
Firstly, Salman asks Tanisha about her opinion on Armaan’s exit and the life after that. He further asks her that who is most intelligent person in the house according to her. The first very obvious name that comes from Tanisha is of that of Armaan and the second one is of Shilpa. Gauahar is asked about the possibility of her friendship with Tanisha to which Gauahar answers by saying that it is possible but only after Bigg Boss ends and not while the ladies are staying under the same roof.
 
As the episode progresses, Salman introduces two special guests for the evening, Siddharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra who appear on stage dancing to the tunes of the title song of Haasi toh Faasi.  While Salman asks Parineeti and Siddharth about their new movie, he also asks them to name their favourite contestants. While Siddharth mentions Sangram , Parineeti expresses her liking for Andy and Sangram.
 

Salman later takes Parineeti and Siddharth inside the house through ME TV and introduces them to all the housemates. While the housemates are delighted to see the duo, they are given a task by Salman to make Parineeti laugh. Gauahar makes the first attempt and tries to imitate a small kid but fails to impress Parineeti. Andy is the next one to try his luck and successfully manages to tickle her funny bone. Even Ajaz prove his mettle and impresses Parineeti with his humour. Parineeti declares Andy and Ajaz as the winners of the task after which Siddharth and Parineeti make an exit.
 
The next moment, Armaan enters for his chat with Salman after coming out of the house and gives Salman a tight hug. Armaan shares his experience of staying in the Bigg Boss house and tells Salman that he has successfully completed his anger management course here. Armaan expresses his desire to see Tanisha and enters the house through ME TV. Armaan interacts with the housemates who further tell him that they are missing his voice badly as they had become habitual to it. Armaan is asked to crown the hero of the house and the villain of the house. He crowns Tanisha as the hero while Andy is tagged as the villain of the house. Just when Armaan is about to leave the stage, Kushal makes a dramatic entry leaving Armaan in shock. Unlike the last time, they both hug each other after which Armaan makes an exit.
 

 

Salman welcomes Kushal and takes him inside the house through ME TV. When Salman takes him inside the house through ME TV, Gauahar gets very excited to see Kushal. Salman further gets on to the topic of Kushal receiving fewer votes than Ajaz. Soon after, Kushal and Ajaz get into a banter wherein they call each other names and when they refuse to stop, Salman has no option but to pull Kushal out of the house. Salman wishes Kushal best luck after which he makes an exit.

Star Plus Ek Veer Ki Ardaas Veera to see some interesting twists and turns.

Star Plus’s popular show Ek Veer Ki Ardaas Veera produced by Beyond Dreams Production recently completed 300 Episodes has been doing amazingly great post the leap. Viewers are amazed at how the the show has evolved post the 15 Years Leap; and the young brigade of actors who essay Ranvi, Veera, Baldev and Gunjan and their stories have left the audiences wanting more.

The upcoming episodes will bring about some new and interesting twists and turns as Veera's (Digangana Suryavanshi) application to the UK Univeristy will be accepted. Earlier in the show viewers saw how Ranvi (Shivin Narang) wants to fulfill his Papa Ji's dream of opening a "Agricultural Based School" and has been waiting for his sister's return for the same. Meanwhile Veera was also seen sharing her dreams with her friends according to which she wishes to study abroad and travel the world. 

According to sources Veera will tell Ranvi about her dream to study abroad which will leave Ranvi shocked. How will he react to this? One one side is the promise he gave his Papa Ji and on the other is the promise he gave Veera to fulfill all her dreams and wishes.

On the other hand Ratan (Sneha Wagh) will also come to know of Veera's dreams and it would be interesting to see how she would react to this as Ratan has always been of the opinion that Veera can see nothing beyond herself and her happiness.

Star Plus Mahabharat: Balram enters; Rukmi to curse Rukmini for betraying Family.

Star Plus’s mythological show Mahabharat has been steadily climbing the TVT charts and entertaining viewers alike. Last week saw the entry of Shri Krishna (Saurabh Raj Jain) and ended with Rukmini (Pallavi Subhash) reaching Godess Parvati's temple where she would be Krishna and the two would elope away.

In the upcoming episodes viewers will get to see some interesting drama as Shri Krishna's brother Balram joins Arjun (Shaheer Sheikh) to defeat Rukmi's army. After losing to Balram and Arjun a horrified Rukmi will see Krishna leaving with Rukmini; he follows them and angrily curses Rukmini for betraying her family and not marrying Shishupal the groom they chose. 

Rukmi curses his sister that she will never have a happy marriage with Krishna and that they will get separated. This angers Krishna, who takes out his Sudarshan Chakra to kill Rukmi, but stops when Rukmini requests not to kill her brother.

UTV Bindass Yeh Hai Aashiqui to Feature Classical Dancing Diva Sudha Chandran's Love Story.

UTV Bindass popular show “Ye Hai Aashiqui” produced by Lost Boy Productions has brought forward unique and inspiring lovestories ever since it's Launch. The show is once again all set to portray a beautiful love story of two dancers which will is said to be inspired from the real life story of classical dance diva Sudha Chandran.  According to sources the episode will star Vrinda Dawda of Channel [V] “Dill Dosti Dance” fame and Neil Bhatt who essayed the role of Laxman in Zee TV’s “Ramayana” as dancers.

Accomplished classical dancer Sudha Chandran lost her leg when she was 16 due to medical negligence. The only way to save Sudha's life was to amputate her leg and this real life incident is what will form the basis of the YHA Episodic.

Vrinda will be seen essaying the role of Sudha Chandran while Neil will be seen essaying the role of the guy she falls in love with. The two dancers meet at a dance academy and slowly fall in love with each other but an unfateful incident will go on to change their lives forever.

Bigg Boss Saath 7: Synopsis day 95, The day of judgement

Surprise mid-week eviction comes as a shock for all the housemates and especially Gauahar who is left heartbroken and in tears post Kushal’s exit. Watching Gauahar stay aloof and depressed in the morning, Andy and Tanisha go up to her in order to console her and make her feel better. Andy further tries to bring a smile on Gauhar’s face by being at his humorous best. Ajaz  too attempts to break the silence and talk to Gauahar post their big fight but in no mood to bury the hatchet  she continues to behave cold with him and chooses to ignore him. 

Later in the afternoon, Armaan is seen talking to Tanisha and Sangram about Kushal. Armaan tells them that Kushal has an attitude problem and he has suffered a big loss on the show because of his ego. Further, Armaan also tries to clear out the misunderstandings between Sangram and Andy but Andy refuses to talk to Sangram and maintains a distance from him.  

In the evening, Bigg Boss asks all the housemates to gather in the activity area. While the housemates are clueless about what is going to happen next, they step inside the activity area and find it transformed into a court room with two witness boxes placed in the middle. Bigg Boss soon makes a startling announcement welcoming Rajat Sharma as he appears from a huge door and introduces himself to the housemates. Bigg Boss announces that all the housemates are required to appear in the courtroom for an interrogation session with Rajat. 

One by one the housemates start interacting with Rajat in the courtroom who then throws a volley of questions  - good, bad and ugly,  at each of the contestants. The housemates are required to answer those questions with complete honesty and provide justification whenever required. Andy is the first one to be in the witness box where he is asked the reason for his transition from being a funny guy to a serious one. Andy explains to Rajat that his humour has been misunderstood in the past and has drawn a lot of criticism and thus he has bid adieu to  his funny self. 

After Andy, Sangram is called in the witness box where Rajat puts an allegation on him for being a diplomatic and double-faced person. While Sangram tries to defend and justify himself, Rajat plays a video where Sangram is found backbiting about Andy at once instance. While watching the video, Andy gets upsets and tears start trickling down his eyes. After receiving some convincing and sensible answers, Rajat asks Sangram to leave and calls Armaan into the witness box. Armaan is questioned by Rajat regarding his shot tempered nature and his frequent outbursts that has kept most of the housemates away from him. Armaan tries to justify himself by telling Rajat that his anger is just for a spur of a moment and that he is working hard to control it.

 
Next is Tanisha’s turn to appear in Rajat’s Adaalat and she seems quite skeptical before stepping in the witness box. After a round of interrogation and an exchange of questions and answers, Rajat advices Tanisha to be an independent woman and stand for her own self without losing her self- respect.  Later when Gauahar is called in the witness box, she is questioned for acting like a teacher and being Kushal’s remote control. The last contestant to face Rajat in the Adaalat is Ajaz who gets tagged to be a confused soul in the house. Rajat asks him about his feelings for Gauahar and what has led to an end of their friendship.  

With a lot of mysteries and hidden truths coming out in the court room, will it compel the housemates to change their game plan and strategies in order to reach the finale?

BIGG BOSS SATH 7:Testing times for Gauahar in the Bigg Boss house!!!

Gauahar was in for a shock with Kushal getting evicted as a part of the surprise mid- week eviction. The scenario inside the house was not in favor of Gauahar and Kushal and with Kushal’s exit from the house, Gauahar is in for a tough time.  Gauahar has also called it quits with Ajaz thus marking an end of their friendship and probably her last support in the house. 

Post Kushal’s exit, Gauahar has been staying aloof and having limited conversations with the other housemates. In the morning, Tanisha and Andy were seen discussing about Gauahar’s situation and decided to talk to her in order to make her feel better.While Tanisha tries her best to empathize with Gauahar, however, Gauahar’s unwillingness to talk to Tanisha puts her off. Andy is next in line to try his luck to cheer up Gauahar and attempts to make her laugh with his funny antics. To his relief, Gauahar responds to him
and gives him a smile.  

They both share a light moment together after which Gauahar is seen talking to the camera alone where she tells Big Boss that she is a very strong woman and ready to fight back in any situation. She also adds that she will not let Kushal become her weakness and will continue to give her best in the show.
 
Will Gauahar be able to let bygones be bygones and bounce back  stronger?
