24 Sets a new Trend, ABC's Popular Drama Revenge next on Cards?
With the coming of "24" it looks like more production houses have been encouraged to take the. According to reliable sources Bollywood Director Siddharth Malhotra of We Are Family (2010) fame who has also had his share of being associated with Television Shows is keen on making the Hindi Version of ABC vengeance drama "Revenge" that originally stars Emily Vancamp and Madeleine Stowe.
Though the Indian show won’t be an official adaptation, it will be loosely based on the original series. Revenge is a story of a daughter's quest to destory the people who framed her father for a crime he did not commit.
Sounds interesting doesn't it? Well if all goes well Indian Television will grow beyond the Saas-Bahu sagas and bring forth more flavors to television viewing in the Near Future.

Real-life couple Ashita Dhawan and Shailesh Gulabani to play reel life jodi in Zee TV's Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya.
Rarely do real-life couples get the opportunity to play reel life couple on screen. This time the lucky couple who got this golden opportunity is none other than Ashita Dhawan and Shailesh Gulabani!
After playing the popular character of Malti Bhabhi in Star Plus most popular show Bidaai, Ashita Dhawan’s is coming back on the screen once again with Rajan Shahi’s Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya on Zee TV and joining her as her on screen hubby is her real hubby Shailesh Gulabani.
Ashita plays Saawri who is the Bua of the female lead Avni (Kaanchi Singh) and Shailesh will play Saawri’s husband, Pratap. We tried calling both Shailesh and Ashita, but they did not respond to our calls.

Colors
TV has once again come with another drama (Fiction), an unusual
love-story with a Muslim Backdrop. Beintehaa produced by Farhan
Salaruddin’s Fortune Productions brings the story of two head-strong
individuals Aaliya and Zain and how their life gets entangled as they
get bounded by marriage.
The first episode opens with the male lead Zain essayed by Harshad Arora taking a call and jumping out of his bed on the word "SHAADI" (Marriage). He utters No-Nahi and jumps out of bed, gets ready and dashes out as if his life depended on it. The Parallel entry of Aaliya essayed by Preetika Rao shows gives a completely contrasting picture from the above though she is also seen to be in a hurry to reach somewhere. What's interesting is that the duo are not complete strangers ( Not Certain that either of them know the relation between them though)they have a common link which is Usmaan Saab which is a wonderful thing and definitely a change from the usual complete strangers scenario because even if the promo shows "HATRED" to be a key aspect between the two there is a line that the two cannot cross even if they wanted to because it's Family or atleast that's what it looks like. Whether or not Shabana is Usmaan Saab's real sister is yet to be seen.
The episode introduce us to both Aaliya and
Zain's family but concentrates on Zain's family more. Usman Abdullah
(Naved Aslam) Zain's father is a self-made, rich and well established
man, he is the owner of a chain of 5 star hotels. In his interaction
with his wife Suraiya (Suchitra Pillai), sister Shabana and Son Zain he
comes across as a very modern yet traditional man. Another trait of Usmaan
Saab that came forward is that he does not come across as a strict
disciplinarian but one who knows how to handle the situation with
maturity, perhaps life experiences is a huge contributing factor. He
could have very well blasted at his elder son for the chaos created in
the house by his two wives, he could have reprimanded Zain during their conversation
because Zain lying blindly instead he tackles the situation in the best
possible manner, he sweetly asks his son to come back home.
Usmaan
Saab seems to be worried alot about his Sons. His dialogue "Ek bete ne
ghar mein, Kohram macha rakha hai, aur Dusre ne duniya mein" says a lot
regarding his state of mind when it comes down to it's Sons. Also in the
scene at the dining table with his wife he clearly expresses his
displeasure against the decision making capacity of his elder son and
also states that things can get messy when children are given the right
to take a decision all by themselves. Was that a hint to show that he
wouldn't let the same happen with his younger son Zain?
Zain's
entry sequence was smartly executed. The Helicopter Entry has been a
tried and tested formula and if not done tastefully can become a subject
of mockery. However Zain's entry does not fall into that category. He
enters saying "NO, I have a Problem" jumps into the water and walks
straight to the Wedding Arena- A Shot that was sleekly done. For the
first time we have a drama which consciously opts for the Dostana
formula. Zain poses as his friend's lover and makes sure that the
wedding does not take place. As of now Zain comes across as a very
carefree, cool guy. A certain amount of bitterness and seriousness will
definitely be added to his personality as the show progresses but I
certainly hope that he does does not join the Bandwagon of "ANGRY YOUNG
MAN" which is all over the place. 
Aaliya essayed by Preetika Rao
is shown as a very carefree, lively and modern girl. The scene that
stood out when it came to Aaliya is one in which her presence was
actually absent but her thought and action took precedence. It's the
scene where Usmaan saab reads a letter sent by Aaliya that mentions a
Sura (A chapter or section of the Koran) that her Mamu (Uncle) can read
on a particular day to obtain peace and that she was going to pray for
his well being. The scene emphasizes a lot on the character of Aaliya and
she comes forward as one who is perhaps well versed in her religion and
believes in traditions and culture. Plus Intelligent viewers who are
watching the show and have no idea about the religion and the Holy book
will definitely appreciate the kind of research that goes into making
such scenes more authentic. Aaliya is seen stealthily leaving her house
because she knows she would be asked to not leave especially when the
Ladke Wale were coming to see her, but her Mamu's health and prayers for
the same was what topped her list which point out that she is quite
determined too. Her prayer at the Dargah and her conversation with her
Mom in the precap shows that she has dreams when it comes to her
life-partner and wants the Almighty Allah to send the best guy in the
whole wide world for her.
One thing the makers have managed to establish right in the first episode is that both Aaliya and Zain love Usmaan Saab dearly and would do anything for his well-being and happiness.

Harshad and Preetika looks
and acts natural. They are confident in essaying their characters and
also show promise. Even though Preetika is 2 Movies old (Both Commercial
and Critical Successful) Beintehaa marks her Television Debut which
makes her a new comer to this field (As TV Shows is a completely
different ball game) .
This could be a very very very long shot but the show does have undertones of popular Pakistani Drama "Humsafar" something that can be vaguely felt throughout the episode but that is a topic we will reserve for later.

The first episode of Beintehaan
is beautifully made. The treatment is fresh & all in all its very
lighthearted which is what I liked. The show definitely has a lot of
potential and it would make for a good story if told properly.

Sony TV's Maharana Pratap gets Meerabai in Muskaan Nancy James .
She rose to fame with the show Mata Ki Chowki, but Muskaan Nancy James (Muskaan Arora then) was missing from Television for quite some time baring one of the episodic of Hum Ne Li Hai... Shapath on Life OK.

Team Doli Armaanon Ki gears up for the Big Fat Indian Wedding tonight!!!
Zee TV's newly launched show "Doli Armaanon Ki" is gearing up for the most awaited sequence of the show aka Urmi (Neha Marda) and Samrat ( Mohit Mallik) wedding. The new couple on the block will be seen tying the knot tonight and this will also be Zee TV's new year gift to the viewers as the shaadi festivities, including sangeet, wedding and reception, will be attended by a host of stars.
Shilpa Shirodkar, Ashish Chowdhry, Shirina Singh, Rachana Parulkar from Ek Mutthi Aasman. Ankita Lokhande, Rithwik Dhanjani, Asha Negi from Pavitra Rishta. Ankit Gera, Rupal Tyagi, Mahima Makwana, Piyush Sahdev from Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke. Ayaan's mischief in Tumhari Pakhi to go out of control; What will Pakhi do?
Shashi-Sumeet Production’s Tumhari Paakhi on Life OK for the first time has brought forward a female lead who is intelligent and smart unlike the usual helpless, brainless and dumb leads that we usually see. The show and it's characters are like a breath of fresh air and like they say who does not like change???
The current track saw how Ayaan (Divyam Dama) has joined forces with Maha Ji to plot against Pakhi (Shraddha Arya) and eventually force her to leave the Rathore Mansion. He has convinced his History Teacher that his Step-Mom is cruel and can go to any extent to torture him.
In the upcoming episodes the pranks played by Ayaan on Paakhi will take a serious course followed by the police getting involved in it too. It would be interesting to watch how Anshuman (Iqbal Khan) will react to the situation as Ayaan has clearly crossed a line, and moreover how Paakhi will turn around the whole situtaion in her favour.
Did Pakhi know about Ayaan's plans from the start and was waiting to see the lengths to which the young lad would go or Will she now find out what Ayaan has been upto and take necessary actions?

Astha and Shlok to part ways in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon- Ek Baar Phir???
Star Plus popular love story Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon last witnessed Shlok (Avinash Sachdev) and Aastha (Shrenu Parikh) being helped by the local natives to find their way out of the Jungle when Aastha gets injured by the thorn of a poisonous branch. In order to save Astha Shlok was seen carrying Astha in his arms and rushing towards a temple where the antidote could be obtained
Viewers will now see some more interesting and high voltage drama in the coming episodes of IPK-EBP as Astha comes to know of her Baba's arrest from the newspaper. Astha will feel cheated and will want to rush back home to be with her Family. However Shlok will stop Astha from leaving following which the two will have a showdown resulting in Astha walking out of the jungle all by herself.
Once back in the city Aastha will come to know that her father-in-law Niranjan (Manish Wadhwa) has helped her father to get out on bail. Aastha will decide to stay with her family in this testing time thus giving a miss to Niranjan’s Birthday party, which will lead to further problems between Astha and her In-Laws.
Astha's mother-in-law Anjali (Geetanjali Tikekar) will go on to taunt her and insults her upbringing when Aastha will lash out and declare that she does not want to stay with Shlok anymore and that she is leaving the Agnihotri Mansion.
With the only weapon Shlok had to keep Astha at bay being used will the couple separate? Or will there be more twist in the offing?

If sources are to be believed the Nautanki Films Do Dil Ek Jaan; which was the unusual lovestory of Antara (Nikita Sharma) and Raghu (Ayaz Ahmed) is all set to bid adieu.
With the leads of the show opting for an out this was bound to happen. The reason behind the success of the show, the main selling point were hands down the characters of Raghu and Antara aka Rantara (As they are popularly called) with them no longer a part of the project the fate of the show was predictable.

Gunjan vows to see Mithu's face.Will she succeed???
Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke recently saw the return of the shows favorite Vamp Charu (Aanchal Khurana) who has entered the Garg Mansion as Vikram's (Rahul Sharma) fiancée Mithu. Charu's obsession for Mayank (Ankit Gera) if anything has only increased by leaps and bounds and she hopes to separate Gunjan (Roopal Tyagi) and Mayank using her new identity, that of Mithu.
Mithu is always seen with a Ghunghat that covers her face and thus nobody in the Garg Family knows that the girl behind the Ghunghat is none other than Charu. There have been several attempts by various characters of the show to catch a glimpse of Vikram's to be fiancee but they never managed to succeed.
According to the recent buzz Gunjan will try to unveil the face behind the Veil but this will not go down well with Vikram who will confront Gunjan and make this a huge issue. The weird behavior of Vikram and Mithu will force Gunjan to take matters in her own hands and she will be seen snapping at Vikram.
Gunajn thus, vows to unveil Mithu before all leaving Mithu all tensed. Will Gunjan Succeed? Will Charu be able to make Gunjan break her vow and manage to keep her identity a secret as up until now?

Ranvijay's secret passion to come before the Viewers in Star Plus Veera!
Star Plus popular show Ek Veer Ki Ardaas…Veera produced by Beyond Dreams has managed to strike a chord with the audience post its sequential leap. The new leads Shivin Narang and Digangana Suryavanshi have managed to carve a niche for themselves in the hearts of the viewers for for their portrayal of Ranvijay and Veera respectively.
The current track concentrates on Veera excited and all set about pursuing her further studies in a university at London while Ranvi who mortgaged their house for freeing their land from Surjit Singh has decided to use the money to help his sister achieve her dreams.
Ranvi is in a dilemma regarding his decision. He knows being Veera's anokhi Maa it's his responsibility to fulfill the dream of Veera but the promise made to his Papa Ji and the tears of his Mother has made things much more complicated.
While Ranvi does have his share of tensions, Viewers will get to see another side of Ranvi which up until now has never come out in the open, A side that actually helps him cope up with the issues in his life.
The very good looking Shivin Narang aka Ranvijay, will soon be seen strumming a mandolin in the coming episodes. Ranvi actually composes poetry and plays the mandolin which is his secret passion unknown to the rest of the world.
Viewers will come to know that Ranvi dreamt of becoming an accomplished Sufi singer, but due to his responsibility he never shared his talent to write and sing with anyone. The makers have planned for an amazingly beautiful score for the sequence which will soon be aired. While the lyrics of the song have been written by Sharad Tripathi, the music has been compiled by Ashish Rego.

SHUKK Professionalism V/s Disturbed Married Lives!! It's a nerve-wrecking experience, just thinking about the first day at work and it is even unimaginable in the steps of Sania, who has only strived to be a filial daughter-in-law and wife of Ali's but only to be seen as an object left to rot in the nooks and corners of their little home while looking after an aged and impudent mother-in-law.However, thinking of contributing towards her family's income brought an immense sense of relief to her heart, as though she had just gotten the meaning of her life, as she toiled hard in the preparation of her interview.
Just a big news of her getting appointed so soon was too good to be true.Surely, there must have been a point of turbulence somewhere and it had arose, in the form of Etisham.She now had to work as his assistant at his company to work for his anticipated project, to promote smiles on each and every Pakistani with the product he was about to launch and he wanted a fresh candidate. All he did was merely look at her and he had a fixed impression about her.Sania was no less impatient to leave the job with a misconception that he wouldn't approve of her being kept as his assistant.
Both of them were at the helm of not being able to tolerate each other for even a moment, without even having a clear and open mind about what had happened between them, a personal grudge for Sania and a phase of annoyance and disrespect which Etisham thought the former had, based on the harsh tones she had utilized with him before.Things were not smooth for both of them nor will it be anytime soon if they were to work together.
However, things seemed to have a turn in the sweet, loving relationship of Etisham and Sehrish ever since her miscarriage. Etisham didn't look to bringing Sehrish home and Maham simply took the opportunity to trick Sehrish into believing staunchly of the possibility of Etisham having an affair with his ex-fiance, Sania, which was revealed to her in Episode #9.
Further revelations in Episode #9 included the gradual blooming of a healthy working relationship adopted by Etisham and Sania.The seeds of jealousy were sprouting in Sehrish's mind like a candle being lit and the fire emerging stronger, non-extinguishable.
Episode #10 made a crackling confrontation between Sehrish and Etisham, who was feeling miffed with the disturbing and irksome questions that she has had for him after he got back from work.Sania too felt awkward with the questions her neighbor-cum-friend shot at her in a row, making her feel far more remorseful.In return, she quickly turned in to her husband who had no qualms whatsoever when he got to know that she is Etisham's assistant.
Maham and Atif are pulling the strings in a flow and surely this couple seem to bring out the best in each other in a ill-natured manner, spewing jealousy and painting it all over Sehrish who doesn't realize the dead end she's getting herself into-a disturbing housewife bent on doubting her husband and suffocating him with her endless questions.
Will her questions quench her thirst for truth or bring an end to an amazing married life she shared with Etisham? Will Sania too bear the brunt and end up getting burnt along with Sehrish and Etisham?? To find out more, stay tuned to Shukk Episode 11 and more.

Gauhar has been declared the winner of Bigg Boss Saath 7 by Salman Khan. After 104 days inside the Bigg Boss house, Gauhar Khan has managed to win the show by getting the maximum number of votes against the finalists Sangram Singh, Ajaz Khan and Tanisha Mukherjee.
The seventh season of the popular reality show went on air September 15, 2013 on Colors. It started with 14 celebrities, and later additional celebrities made wild card entries at different points during its run. PAANCH- 5 Wrongs make a Right : Is a Friend in need a Friend Indeed???
Paanch is the story of Roshini Kataria and her fight against the Injustice done to her sister Neha Katari, a Victim of Ragging. Neha Kataria was ragged by a Gang of 5 Students to the extent that she felt death was better than life. Neha's death was tagged as Drug Overdose and the case was dismissed which forced her younger sister Roshini Kataria to take matters into her own hand and make those who were responsible for her sister's death pay. Roshini has only one aim and that is REVENGE.
Her Targets are Zara, Yudi, Nihaal, Roy and Gauri and so far she has managed to achieve quite a lot considering the fact that had it been under any other circumstances she wouldn't dare to stand up to the 5 who rule the Campus.
Till now viewers saw how Roshini lied about going to US for higher studies to her Father and best friend Nikhil and has joined Mumbai's number 1 college "Regents College" where her Neha Di was ragged and forced to commit suicide. She has managed to foil the plans of the Fearsome 5 several times, has befriended Gauri's younger brother Gautam (Gauti), gain the respect of Yudi, Roy and Nihaal and also become the biggest thorn in Gauri's eyes.
Roshini decides to find out who the Artist of the gang was and make that person her next target. Roshini is not a born criminal, not a born master planner she is a normal girl who is on a mission to avenge her sister's death and those responsible for it. She has no clue asto how she should go about it and because currently her aim is to gain the trust of these 5 and join their gang, she grabs any opportunity that comes by her way. This aspect of the lead protagonist is what makes her look real, makes you connect with the character but at times this is the same aspect that makes you disconnect with her. Nahi Samjhe....Well read on!!!
An interesting scene that took place this week was the short interaction between Roy and Roshini. Though the "5" are highly unpredictable that scene especially Roy's attitude towards Roshini looked genuine, and why not for Roy, Roshini had saved him from being behind bars for the Drugs incident, helped Gauti win in the Boxing match and also proved herself by jumping in the DARE game. Looks like next to follow the same footsteps as Roy will be Zara as Roshini has already ended up buying the former a Guitar after Gauri broke it and from the looks of it will also be the one saving Zara from the drug overdose. So who is next Yudi ya Nihaal???
The coming week is surely going to be interesting with Gauri asking Roshini about her being the owner of the Wellwisher account, being present around her gang always and Nikhil playing a game of his own which could either hamper Roshini's mission or help her.
